Ontario Tech University (the "Institution") is seeking proposals for a replacement Heat Recovery Chiller / Boiler Equipment located at 2000 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa, ON, L1G 0C5. Supply, Delivery and Commissioning is the responsibility of the Proponent. Installation is not within the scope of this opportunity. Shop drawing submission for review: January 6, 2025 Product Delivery: March 21, 2025 Commissioning: May 2025 (TBC) General Requirements Equipment must meet all dimensional and performance requirements as described in the Associated Bid Documents. Equipment not meeting these requirements shall be responsible for all costs for but not limited to re-engineering if required and additional costs for installation. The Proponent shall be responsible for: Prepare and submit shop drawings to the Institution for review meeting the performance requirements and specifications outlined as part of this RFP. Supply and delivery of all equipment outlined in this document to the location specified by the Institution. Conduct start-up for all equipment. Assist during commissioning as required. Training on how to operate equipment to the Institution. Delivery The Proponent will coordinate with the Institution for equipment delivery. The Proponent will be responsible for delivery and off-loading. Should the Institution not be ready for the equipment the Proponent shall unload and store the equipment at their cost. Products shall be shrink wrapped for shipping and to allow for outdoor storage on site (where applicable). If the Institution is not ready for equipment delivery, the Proponent shall store all equipment in their own facilities at their own cost. Proponent will be responsible for any costs incurred by the Institution for late/delayed delivery of equipment to the site where the Proponent is responsible for the delay. Proponent will be responsible for any costs incurred by the Institution as a result of damages to facility or equipment during delivery and commissioning. Delivery at Place Unloaded (DPU) Incoterms, 2020 shall apply. Successful Proponent (seller) bears all costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to and unloading them at the named place of destination. Installation Installation is not within the scope of this opportunity. There will be a subsequent tender for installation of equipment awarded under this RFP to a general prime or mechanical contractor or construction manager. The successful Proponent will be required to transfer the equipment to the successful contractor of the subsequent RFP who will be responsible for the installation of all equipment. Refer to Associated Bid Documents supplemented to this package. Commissioning The Proponent will assist in the commissioning of all equipment in conjunction with the general and/or mechanical contractor or construction manager and the Institution. The commissioning process shall ensure the equipment is operational and functioning. The commissioning process will confirm that the system meets all the technical requirements stated in the deliverables section. Refer to Associated Bid Documents supplemented to this package. Warranty Unless specified otherwise in the Associated Bid Documents, there shall be a minimum one-year product warranty on all equipment, parts, systems and accessories. Proponent will assign to the Institution all manufacturer's warranties for products not manufactured by or for the proponent and will take all necessary steps as required by such third-party manufacturers to effect assignment of such warranties. Warranty periods will begin upon equipment start-up.
