As of December 16, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Bidding is expected to take place in late 2027 or early 2028. Construction should start at the end of March in 2028. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* The selected firm will be expected to support the City in the successful completion of all project aspects. Firms will be considered a project sponsor and perform all necessary tasks to satisfy WisDOT procedures. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, consultant services, architectural, planning and engineering in the fields of civil, environmental, transportation, electrical, landscaping, and structural. Your project was one of 41 MSIS projects selected in Wisconsin for funding in the 2024-25 biennium. The total eligible cost of the project is estimated at $4,154,386.50 and WisDOT will reimburse the City of Waupaca for up to a limit of $2,077,193.25. You will soon receive a signed State/Municipal Project Agreement (SMA) from WisDOT. The City reserves the right to negotiate the terms of the contract, including the award amount, with the selected proposer prior to the City entering into a contract. If contract negotiations cannot be concluded successfully with the highest scoring proposer, the City may negotiate a contract with the next highest scoring proposer.
