The City of Wentzville is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for replacing vinyl fencing in 4 locations. SCOPE OF SERVICES & SPECIFICATIONS Fence Replacement Project #24-608 1. Project Site Locations (four): East of Bear Creek Ridge Ct East of Big Bear Ct West of May Road West of Sherwood Oaks 2. At all four project locations, the fences to be replaced are located on top of retaining walls. At some locations, access to the fence may be across residential property. 3. Remove and haul away existing vinyl fence. 4. Perform approximately 91 concrete core drills total of all 4 locations. 5. Install 6 ft tall white vinyl fence, Prestige vinyl or equal, approximately 1,112 feet total for all 4 locations. 6. Channel Rails: 5x5" smooth; bottom rails must include commercial grade aluminum stiffener. 7. Posts: 5x5" with flat caps. Four of the posts must be reinforced with commercial grade aluminum stiffener. These 4 posts are the first 4 posts east of Big Bear. 8. All posts must be set 30" deep in 9" drilled holes, backfilled with PC concrete and finished to drain water away from post. 9. Contractor shall provide care to protect all existing private site improvements including, but not limited to existing buried utilities and irrigation systems. Any private site improvements damaged during the fence installation shall be replaced in kind at the expense of the Contractor. 10. Sherwood Oaks Drive (Gray Hawk Subdivision): the resident's fence butts up to the city fence; do not damage the resident's fence. 11. Underground Locates: Contractor is responsible for contacting Dig-Rite. 12. Daily site cleanup including removal of trash, debris, unused materials and spoil from excavation and fence installation is required, and shall not be paid separately. 13. Fencing shall also include all appurtenant components necessary to complete the installation. 14. Fences removed and not reinstalled the same day, will require temporary safety fencing. 15. Contractor is responsible for traffic control. 16. Working Hours: Working hours shall be 7am - 5pm Monday through Friday; no work on weekends or City Holidays. 17. Contractor shall provide material lien waivers and certified payrolls with project payment request.
