The City of Wentzville is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the 2025 slab replacement project. Background and Funding: The 2025 Slab Replacement Project consists of the replacement of selected street slabs in Villas of Stone Ridge Canyon, Cimarron, Stonemoor, Manors at Wilmer Valley, Golf Club of Wentzville, Stone Meadows, Brookshire Creek (West), Huntsdale, Providence Meadows, adjacent sidewalk accessibility improvements, and other related work as shown on the Construction Plans and as directed by the City of Wentzville. Question Deadline 03/07/2025 at 12:00 AM CT Bid Bond / Bid Guarantee: If the total project bid price exceeds $50,000.00 a bid bond shall be included with the bid and shall be 5% of the bid amount. The bid bond shall be from a surety that is authorized to issue bonds in the State of Missouri, or a certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Wentzville. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security. Such Bid Security shall be executed on the prescribed form, in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the total bid price payable to the City and is required for each Bid submitted. Electronic Bid Bond requirements are set forth in Part I. Bidding Requirements, Section A-5. Bid Security. The City must receive the Bid Security in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or electronic Bid Bond, in advance of the Bid due date and time. If an electronic Bid Bond is used, verification of an electronic Bid Bond issued by Surety2000 or , LLC shall be uploaded to the City of Elk Grove Vendor Portal through in advance of the Bid due date and time. A PDF of a Bid Bond is not an electronic id Bond and will not be accepted. Hard copy Bid Bonds will also not be accepted. Bid Security received after the Bid due date and time will likely result in rejection of the Bidder's Bid Proposal for non- responsiveness. The amount of the Bid Security shall be not less than ten (10) percent of the total amount of the Bid. Payment Bond: If the Contractor's Bid is more than $50,000.00, the Contractor shall procure and maintain a satisfactory performance bond (the "Bond") in an amount not less than 100% percent of the amount of the Contract for the benefit of the City of Wentzville ("City") as required by the laws of the State of Missouri within 10 days of the notice of award. The Payment Bond furnished shall meet all requirements of Section 107.170 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended, and shall guarantee the payment of any and all materials, incorporated, consumed or used in connection with the construction of such work, and all insurance premiums, both for compensation, and for all other kinds of insurance, said work, and for all labor performed in such work whether by subcontractor or otherwise, including payment of prevailing wage requirements of the State of Missouri.
