Renovation of an educational facility in Edison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 200-square-foot educational facility.

The Project generally consists of the following: 1. New electrical switchgear housed in a 200 square foot enclosure attached to the existing boiler room. Question Deadline 01/03/2025, Pursuant to the method outlined in the Instructions to Bidders, all requests for information pertaining to the Bidding Documents should be submitted by bidders by the end of business An Addendum to the Bidding Documents to respond to requests for information submitted by bidders will be issued by the end of business on January 10, 2025. All bids shall be stated in words and figures on bid forms provided in the bid package. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq. which pertain to the Public-School Contracts Law. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form included in the bid package and shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. All bidders shall also submit a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check, cash, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, but not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder shall and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond. In the event that the successful bidder does not enter into a Contract nor provide the requisite documents set for in the bid documents, including providing a Performance and Payment Bond, the bidder shall forfeit the Bid Guarantee in favor of the Edison Public Schools Board of Education. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cash. All bid security except the security of the three apparent lowest responsible bidders shall be returned, unless otherwise requested by the bidder, within ten business days after the opening of the bids, Sundays and holidays excepted, and the bids of such bidders shall be considered as withdrawn. Within three business days, Sundays and holidays excepted, after the awarding of the bid, the signing of the contract by the said bidder and the approval of the bidder's performance bond, the bid security of the remaining unsuccessful bidders shall be returned. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. and with the requirements of the Affirmative Action Program at N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Edison Public Schools Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and any bid that is non-responsive or submitted by a bidder that is not responsible. No bid shall be deemed accepted or a Contract awarded until public adoption of the resolution to that effect by the Edison Public Schools Board of Education.
