A. The Work to be performed shall consist of furnishing tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and manufactured articles, and furnishing all labor, transportation, and services, including but not limited to fuel, power, water, essential communications, and performing all Work or other operations required in strict accordance with the Drawings and these specifications. The Work shall be complete, and all Work, materials, and services not expressly indicated or called for in the Contract Documents which may be necessary for the complete and proper construction of the Work in good faith shall be provided by the Contractor as though originally so indicated, at no increase in cost to the City. B. The Project is located at Lansing Avenue Pump Station at 1711 Lansing Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48915. C. The Work consists of a new 5 million gallon concrete equalization basin, valves, piping, ventilation, site work, removal of existing abandoned pump station structure below grade level, draining and removal of existing utilities, new site utilities, and electrical work. Inside the current pump station, the work consists of removal of existing bar screens and gripper mechanism, installation of owner furnished bar screens, compactor, variable frequency drives and control panel, painting, new lighting, and gas detection instruments, force main flow meter, interconnecting piping in the pump station and electrical work including replacement of low voltage unit substation and bus duct, surge protection, new motor control center and electrical to new devices. The installation of the Owner furnished bar screens, compactor and associated electrical equipment shall take priority at the beginning of the project. The work may also include Alternates 1, 2 and/or 3 as described in the Bid Form and Agreement.
