Completed plans call for the construction of a 9,500-square-foot water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; 4,500-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The scope of work also includes construction of anew 4,500 square foot vehicle storage facility, demolition of existing underground water treatment infrastructure, existing garage, and exterior rehabilitation of the existing historical pumping station. The Contractor shall fully complete the project within 915 consecutive days of the start date fixed in the Notice to Proceed. Bid security for all general bidders and sub-bidders in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurers or cashiers check, payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of 5percent of the total bid, in accordance with the conditions in Section 00 21 13 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.20% percent D/MBE participation and 4.50% percent D/ WBE participation by certified DBEs. The two low Bidders shall submit completed DBE forms (EEO-DEP-190C, EEO-DEP-191C and the DBE Certification of United States Citizenship form) by the close of business on the third business day after bid opening. Failure to comply with the requirements of this paragraph may be deemed to render a proposal nonresponsive. No waiver of any provision of this section will be granted unless approved by the Department of Environmental Protection(MassDEP). It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract.
