Demolition and renovation of a religious / funeral development in Walnut Creek, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a religious / funeral development; and for the renovation of a religious / funeral development.

Lesher Cooling Tower Replacement The Project includes, but is not limited to, performing the following Work: Replacement of existing cooling tower to match existing, will include but not limited to, demolition / removal, Traffic control for removal and installation, crane pick for removal and instillation, disposal of old tower, instillation of new tower, instillation of variable frequency drive (VFD) devices and all other associated work to complete cooling tower replacement. This Project is located at the Lesher Center for Performing Arts located at 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. Approximate cost of construction: $250,000.00 No bids will be received unless made on the Bid Proposal and Schedule form provided in the Project Manual. TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION OF WORK: The Contractor shall begin Work no later than five Working days after the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed (which may be hand delivered or sent by email). The Contractor shall complete all the Work on the Project within 30 working days after the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The City of Walnut Creek reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids. All bids shall be accompanied by cash, a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check payable to the City of Walnut Creek in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount bid. Upon award of the contract, the successful Bidder shall furnish a bond for faithful performance in the amount of 100% of the total bid; the successful Bidder shall also furnish a bond to secure the payment of all claims for labor and material in the amount of 100% of the total bid. The successful Bidder and subcontractors are required to pay for and obtain a City of Walnut Creek Business License. Retention: The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the public agency, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City or an escrow agent in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, shall be valued by the City's Administrative Services Director whose decision on valuation of the securities shall be final. The Contractor's attention is called to the Business and Professions Code Section 7108.5, which generally requires subcontractors to be paid not later than seven days after receipt of each progress payment.
