Renovation of a mixed-use development in Corinth, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Corinth VT is requesting bids from insured contractors with general liability insurance of $1,000,000 to do minor repairs and painting of the town hall's east porch and west office's exterior. The work must be completed and the final invoice received by June 30, 2025. The bid will be awarded by the select-board at its meeting Feb. 4, 2025. The town reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, in whole or in part. Bidder will be selected on price, best schedule & experience. Details Project #1: Preparing & painting the complete office exterior wall & eave surfaces from the vault starting at the clerk's office on the south side, around to the north side ending at the entrance door to the main hall. Project to Include: 1. Adding an approximately 8" section of rigid insulation on the right side above where insulation is missing up to the eave to match the rest of the south wall. Re-stucco any areas of the vaults exterior that have lost stucco & over new insulation sections. Caulk or stucco any seams between sections & on the side of insulation over the vaults exterior wall. 2. Repair any rotted trim wood areas mainly on the north ramp base, & replace the 4 sections of railings on the ramp to the hall with sturdy railing stock. Repair a large chip out of the brace holding the roof over the Lister office door. 3. Clean surfaces & sand as needed any loose paint mainly found on the window sills, trim, roof braces over the Lister office door & the upper trim plywood under the eves. Refasten any loose clapboards. Chalk any cracks or openings in the trim & walls with painters caulk. 4. Prime porous wood w/alkyd primer & apply 2 top coats Benjamin Moore or equivalent alkyd paint. 5. Sand & paint railing with black Rust-o-ileum gloss metal paint or equivalent. 6. Doors to Lister office & hall from ramp: Sand, prime as needed & paint two coats using "Benjamin Moore Country Redwood #PM-16 Acrylic Paint" top coat Details Project #2: Preparing & Painting of the Corinth Town Hall's East Porch & Roof. Project to Include: 1. Roof: Lightly Sand/Wire Brush/Clean & prime coat roof rust spots with quality aluminum roof paint. Then paint the whole metal roof with same product. No splatter on any other suffice. 2. Lightly power-wash porch ceiling & walls, deck as needed. 3. Touch up any white peeling paint on the building wall around the porch or scuffed posts as needed. 4. Repair any wood rot damage on the deck stairs to include any cedar 1 1/2 " x 5 1/2" decking that may need replacing. (note there is 1 deck plank section near the central stair railing that might need replacing). Some trim wood at ground contact needs replacing. A. Prep deck/Sand any rough areas/Re-fasten any loose decking fasteners/Stain with a solid stain mid range gray 2 coats. Last product used was a Benjamin Moore product. B. Prep stair treads & risers/Re-fasten any loose decking fasteners/Replace 1 plank by rail/Clear seal with wood preservative the stair treads, & paint the risers white. C. Prep, spot prime as needed & paint the exterior door using "Benjamin Moore Country Redwood #PM-16 Acrylic Paint". Two coats. D. Sand & paint railing with black Rust-o-ileum gloss metal paint or equivalent.
