The County of Santa Barbara, is seeking a licensed California General Contractors holding a Class B and/or A license that have experience working with Modular Fabrication, Modular Installations, Site Devleopment and Underground Utility Installations that wish to compete for the award of the BWell Sobering Center Modular and Site Development Ptoject PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project No. 23038 ("Project") is to relocate the sobering center from its current location to a temporary modular structure located within the former Fleet parking lot located adjacent to the Archives Building (the current location of the Sobering Center) on Camino del Remedio at the Calle Real Campus in Santa Barbara. The existing facility is beyond its useful life and needs extensive repair or modernization in order to satisfy and meet programming compliance. The Project site is located on the County's Calle Real Campus in Santa Barbara, and once the improvements are complete the facility will be operated by the Behavioral Wellness Department ("BWell"). The Sobering Center site also provides convenient access to various services supporting clients as they transition through Behavioral Wellness treatment.
