The project is expected to be awarded by the end of February North Sugar Factory Bridge Description: The Project includes the following Work: The placement of a new 70' span prefabricated steel bridge, concrete bridge foundations, existing bridge demolition, and related work. Bids will be received for a single contract. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $800,000. The Project is divided into three phases. Phase 1 will consist of bridge foundation construction and must be completed by April 15, 2025. Phase 2 is the bridge placement and setting which must be completed by July 1, 2025. Phase 3 is the demolition of the existing bridge, and the timing of work will vary due to the realignment of the Sugar Factory Road. Site Directions: Bridge to be replaced is east of Gunnison approximately 3 miles, adjacent to Highway 89 on Christianburg Road.
