The Bidder's proposals shall reflect all labor, equipment and materials required for the construction, according to the documents and specifications on file in the office of the Lorain County Metropolitan Park District, 12882 Diagonal Road in LaGrange, OH 44050. The project consists of renovation to plaster surfaces on the concrete walls and flooring of indoor Back Pool at the OBERLIN SPLASH ZONE, a recreation center facility in the City of Oberlin of Lorain County, OH. Renovations are to take place in the basins of the swimming pool. Scope of work includes but is not limited to cleaning and other preparation work to wall and flooring surfaces and applying and finishing new Portland cement and exposed aggregate plaster materials in the pool basins. All bids for the above-described work MUST BE submitted on forms furnished with the bid documents. Bidding and Contract Documents for the project are available for review at the administrative offices of: Lorain County Metropolitan Park District 12882 Diagonal Road LaGrange, OH 44050 All bids must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, for the full amount of the bid, written upon an acceptable surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio; or 2. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to "Lorain County Metropolitan Park District" or a letter of credit meeting the requirements of Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount. Last Day for Questions to be Submitted: January 10, 2025 at 12:00 noon Bid guaranties of all unsuccessful Bidders will be held until a proper contract is entered into or until all bids are rejected, as the case may be, and will be returned immediately thereafter. Any cashier's check, certified check or letter of credit submitted by the successful bidder will be returned upon the Bidder's execution of the Contract Documents, including an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond. Bids (one original and one copy) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope identified with project name, Bidder's name, and address. If sent by mail, the sealed bid envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation "Sealed Bid Enclosed" on the face thereof. No bid may be withdrawn before sixty (60) days have elapsed after the actual date of the opening Successful Bidders in their performance of this contract shall comply with all applicable local, State and Federal laws and regulations. Prevailing wage rates, as determined by the Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration and provided for in the laws of the State of Ohio, shall apply to this contract. The Lorain County Metropolitan Park District is a governmental agency, exempt from any local, state and federal sales taxes. The Board intends to award a contract to the lowest and best bidder whose bid is submitted in accordance with the requirements of these bidding documents and does not exceed the funds available for the Project. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any technical deficiencies or irregularities in bids.
