This project consists of demolishing the existing shower building and replacing it with a 6-stall precast concrete shower building and associated utility and site work. EPA Form 5700-49 (11-83) Proposal Guarantee: $25,000 Project Estimate: $380,000.00 Completion Date: 9/15/2025 Liquidated Damages Per Day $1,000.00 Each bidder shall accompany the bid with a bid security as defined in Iowa code section 26.8. Copies of the bid security will be accepted for those bidders submitting bids electronically. Additionally, if the apparent lowest responsible, responsive bidder submits an electronic bid security, the original security must be mailed to the Department, at 6200 Park Avenue, Suite 200, Des Moines, IA, 50321, within five business days of the bid letting date. The bid security must be in an amount set forth in the bidding documents and made payable to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Failure to execute a contract for the proposed work and file an acceptable Performance Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a certificate of liability insurance, within thirty days of the date of the award of the contract, will be just and sufficient cause for the rescinding of the award and the forfeiture of the bid security. All proposals submitted by bidders must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or a proposal guarantee bond prepared on the standard proposal guarantee bond form furnished to the bidder by the Department of Natural Resources, an example of which is bound in this specification volume.
