As of June 16, 2025, a construction manager has been awarded and all sub-bidding is complete. Construction began early April 2025 and is expected to be completed early July 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The scope of this project includes construction of a new 42,000 GSF residence hall that will include 150 total beds composed of a combination of pod style, single and double occupancy rooms. The new building will be 3 stories located within the core of Hammond campus just south of Lawshe Hall (Northeast corner of 173rd and Woodmar). The main floor will include a reception area/office, a common kitchen, a laundry room, a staff apartment, student study areas, student lounge, common gender-neutral restrooms, 14 single student rooms, and 11 double student rooms.
