Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hammond, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a three-story above grade multi-residential development.
As of June 16, 2025, a construction manager has been awarded and all sub-bidding is complete. Construction began early April 2025 and is expected to be completed early July 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The scope of this project includes construction of a new 42,000 GSF residence hall that will include 150 total beds composed of a combination of pod style, single and double occupancy rooms. The new building will be 3 stories located within the core of Hammond campus just south of Lawshe Hall (Northeast corner of 173rd and Woodmar). The main floor will include a reception area/office, a common kitchen, a laundry room, a staff apartment, student study areas, student lounge, common gender-neutral restrooms, 14 single student rooms, and 11 double student rooms. The second and third floor will each include 23 single student rooms, 17 double student rooms, student study areas, student lounge, and common gender-neutral restrooms
