Site work for a civil project in Highlands East, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
Superstructure replacement of the McColls Bridge over the Irondale River together with associated road work. The McColls Road Bridge, a 60-foot-long, single-span, single-lane Warren truss, is being replaced. Likely constructed in the 1930s, the bridge rests on unreinforced concrete gravity abutments. The superstructure has experienced section loss due to corrosion and is currently load-posted. It is necessary to replace the bridge with a new, more reliable structure capable of supporting full traffic loads. The project includes the replacement of the McColls Bridge superstructure over the Irondale River, along with associated road work. The Contract will be formally awarded by resolution of Council on February 11th, 2025. Work under this contract shall not commence on site before July 2nd, 2025. The work must be substantially completed by August 29, 2025. Bidders shall register all their inquiries through Biddingo. The contact for the Consultant is Mr. Harold Kleywegt, P.Eng., of Keystone Bridge Management Corp. Questions related to the tendering process shall be through Biddingo.
