General Description of Work Work to be performed consists of the furnishing of all materials, equipment, labor and supplies to complete the work as shown on the plans and specifications on file with the Carver County Engineer's Office, Public Works Division, 11360 Highway 212, Suite 1, Cologne, MN 55322-8016. Various Locations in Carver County Cationic Rapid-Setting Type 2 Emulsion Polymer Modified Binder (CRS-2P) 144,000 Gallons Bituminous Material for Fog Seal (CQS-1hD50 or CSS-1h) 43,000 Gallons Bid Security (Bid Bond or Certified Check) is required. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond naming Carver County as oblige, certified check payable to the Carver County Treasurer or a cash deposit equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the County in the event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract. The County reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date and time set of the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set of the opening of bids. Award of the Contract shall be based on the lowest total acceptable bid (total amount of the contract). The Owner reserves the right not to award any contract, in which event the Owner and the Bidder shall be under no obligation to each other. The Carver County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interests of the County. The Carver County Board reserves the right to retain the proposal guaranty of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids will be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and times set for the opening of bids.
