Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Agoura Hills, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. The work includes the removal & replacement of Asphalt Concrete (AC) and Crushed Aggregate Base (CAB), AC crack sealing, installation of Type II RAP Slurry Seal, removal & replacement of speed humps, bikeway improvements, and installation of pavement striping and signage. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer. If you discover any error, omission, ambiguity or conflict in the Plans or Specifications and wish to have a clarification, please submit a request for clarification through online. Reponses to request for clarification will be posted via an addendum no later than 5 p.m. local time on Thursday, January 23, 2024. Please indicate the Project and identification number in your request for clarification. Each Bid must be separately accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety insurer, made payable to the City and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted, as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon Contract award, the Contractor shall provide faithful performance and payment Bonds, each in a sum equal to the Contract Price. All Bonds must be issued by a California admitted Surety insurer using the forms set forth in the Contract Documents, or in any other form approved by the City Attorney. Failure to enter into the Contract with the City, including the submission of all required Bonds and insurance coverages, within fifteen (15) Days after the date of the mailing of written notice of contract award to the Bidder, shall subject the Bid security to forfeiture to the extent provided by law. There is no mandatory pre-bid meeting required for this project. Every Bidder is encouraged to visit and get familiar with the streets included in this project. Question Deadline 01/16/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Each Bidder shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license issued by the California State Contractors License Board at the time of the Bid submission, unless this Project has any federal funding, in which case the successful Bidder must possess such a license at the time of Contract award. The successful Contractor must also possess a current City business license. All Work shall be completed within 45 Working Days following the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed from the City. There will be a $600 assessment for each Day that Work remains incomplete beyond the time specified for the completion of the Work in the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid or all Bids, terminate this bid process, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid or in the bidding, as deemed to be in its best interest.
