This project will modify the existing gas collection system to support landfill operations and ensure continued compliance with South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) regulations. The project includes constructing approximately 6,200 linear feet of highdensity polyethylene (HDPE) gas collection trenches, 2,000 linear feet of buried HDPE header line, and miscellaneous gas system components, including approximately 3,000 feet of condensate collection piping and traps, gas header tieins to the existing gas system, and trench laterals, and all appurtenant work. All bids must be fully transmitted by the date and time specified. The Board of Directors may reject all bids. Unless all bids are rejected, award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. The work of construction must be completed within 150 WORKING DAYS after the date in the Notice to Proceed. Each bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with an approved surety company as surety, payable to Los Angeles County Sanitation District No. 2 or other authorized security provided by Public Contract Code 1/2 20784, for an amount equal to at least ten percent of the amount bid as a guaranty that the bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract satisfactory to the Board of Directors for completing the work contemplated.
