This contract consists of upgrading the hot water heating system and providing air-conditioning for the gymnasium. The heating water system upgrades will occur during the summer of 2025. Upgrades include: the replacement of two existing cast iron boilers with two new gas-fired condensing boilers and conversion of the primary-constant flow pumping arrangement to a primary-secondary flow pumping arrangement. Also, the existing heating water pumps, air separator, and expansion tank will be replaced. Provision of air-conditioning for the gymnasium will occur during the summer of 2026. Work includes: the replacement of the existing four gymnasium heating and ventilating units with one packaged rooftop unit capable of air-conditioning, ventilating, and heating. Also, all existing ductwork shall be replaced to accommodate the new system layout. Structural reinforcement shall be provided for the new rooftop equipment. The work shall also include all automatic temperature control upgrades which are affected by the removal of equipment and the installation of new systems. This includes modifications of the existing system sequence of operations and updating the equipment and system graphics at the central building management system (BMS). Alternate No. 1 - Replace the existing domestic water heater, recirculating pumps, mixing valve, and expansion tank. Phase-1 (Summer 2025): Boiler Replacement.
