Renovation of a municipal facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 75,000-square-foot municipal facility.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to select a qualified Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) to work collaboratively with the City of Gaithersburg ("City") and the selected A/E team to plan and manage the construction renovation of 12 S. Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877. The building is a 75,000-square-foot Class A commercial building owned by the City and will be transformed into a new municipal building to consolidate several departments into one building improving customer service and public accessibility. This project includes a complete interior renovation and reconfiguration of the first three floors of the four-story commercial building. The floor plan will be reconfigured to better meet the modern needs of the City, offering various public-facing services, and office spaces tailored to diverse working styles including collaboration spaces, addressing critical departmental adjacency needs, and accommodating the growth needs of City staff.
