Renovation of a detention facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
This project calls for the replacement of deteriorated exterior fire doors and frames on the East Side of the facility: (3 locations) - provide new steel doors and frames at Kent (see attached highlighted floor plan and photos) (20 locations - 5 at each building)- provide new steel doors and frames at Emmett, Filmore, Gladwin and Harrison (see attached highlighted floor plans and photos) (1 location)- door, frame, and header at East Administration Building (see attached highlighted floor plan and photo) All existing glass sidelights will be replaced with insulated panels. Provide vision panel in doors exiting to dock or yard areas. The new doors will tie into the existing Starnet monitoring system, alarming the local office station and the control room. The Professional Services Contractor (PSC) is to provide Phase 500 Final Design / Bidding Documents, Phase 600 Construction Administration - Office Services, and Phase 700 Construction Administration Field Inspection Services.
