The City of Aurora invites you to bid on anticipated mowing and weed maintenance for private property violations under the guidance of the Property Standards Division. The contract will be for one (1) year with the option for two (2) one-year extensions, subject to mutual consent between the City of Aurora and the selected vendor. The City reserves the right to award the bid to multiple vendors. A Bid Bond in the amount of $1,000 is required with the bid presented All inquiries and/or questions pertaining to the provisions and specifications of this bid package shall be directed to the Director of Purchasing, in writing at PurchasingDL@aurora.il.us. Questions will be accepted until 8:00 am, Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Questions will be answered via addendum and posted to the City s website at electronic by 4:00 pm, Thursday, January 23, 2025. NO questions will be accepted or answered verbally. No questions will be accepted or answered after January 21, 2025, 8:00 am cut-off date/time. Each Bidder shall deposit with his Bid a Bid guarantee consisting of a bank draft, Bid bond, cashier s check, or certified check drawn on a good and solvent National or State Bank and payable to the order of the City, in an amount of $1,000, as a guaranty that in case the Bidders Bid is accepted, the Bidder shall within five (5) days after the date of such acceptance and notification thereof, deliver to the City a contract signed and executed by the contractor along with proper insurance certificates. The requirement of a Performance, Labor and Material Bond will be waived for purposes of this contract The City of Aurora reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any technicality, informality or irregularity in the Bids received, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter-proposals and to hold the best Bids for ninety (90) days from the opening date set forth above.
