Through this request for qualification (RFQ), notice is hereby given that the City of Durham, North Carolina, General Services Department, is seeking a consulting firm to provide Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Surveying. BACKGROUND AND SCOPE OF SERVICES Parking Lot 20, at the corner of Ramseur Street and Corcoran Street, requires construction and repair to an existing structural retaining wall. A detailed engineering study is needed to understand the current condition of the existing retaining wall to identify the causes of structural deficiencies. Geotechnical analysis such as performing soil and subsurface investigations to understand the underlying geotechnical conditions that may impact the stability of the retaining wall are required to inform analysis and design. Selected consultant will develop a structural design based on the findings from the engineering study and geotechnical analysis, that addresses the identified issues. Any questions regarding this RFQ must be received in writing prior to 12/19/2024 by 3:00pm. Questions received after this date may not receive response. PROJECT BUDGET The Rough Order of Magnitude for this project is: $250,000. The goals for this RFQ are 8% Minority/UBE and 6% Women/UBE.
