**As of March 17, 2025 , this project has been awarded to The Scruggs Company, awarded amount not available.** Camden County Board of Commissioners is currently seeking bids to furnish all labor, equipment, materials for conducting road resurfacing/ pavement preservation on existing paved roads. No bid shall be withdrawn after the closing time for a period of ninety (90) days. Questions regarding this construction project may be directed in writing to the Purchasing Officer, Kelsey Kelley at bids@camdencountyga.gov. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for bituminous surface treatment, hot mix overlay and restripe up to approximately 5.40 miles with some isolated patching and leveling on some roads. The roads, mileage, and preferred method of pavement preservation & repair are listed on Appendix A. Striping will consist of traffic paint 652, 5" white edge lines and 5" yellow centerline and skip lines as existing. Temporary paint will be required. Work will consist of a single surface bituminous surface treatment with #89 used for the aggregate, followed by a thin lift overlay using hot mix asphalt. The surface treatment course shall be covered with hot mix prior to reopening the lane to traffic. Laydown yard for material and equipment can be provided for the contractor to use. The scope includes removal of existing pavement to the existing base, verify elevations to assure removal depth is sufficient to accommodate the replacement material thicknesses, add or remove subgrade material as necessary to establish the required elevation, compact and test the subgrade material and replace the base and pavement as follows: o 4" Asphalt Binder, 19 mm Superpave as directed by engineer All work to be done in accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, Current Edition (2021), Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions for all proposal line items to include.
