Renovation of an educational facility in Clio, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,916-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Clio Early Elementary School Building Renovation Each bid shall be accompanied by the Familial Disclosure Statement in compliance with MCL.380.1267 (see Section 00 4500). The bid proposal must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing Familial Relationship that exists between the bidder or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School district, or the Superintendent of the School district. The School district will not consider a bid Proposal that does not include this sworn and notarized Disclosure Statement. Each bid shall be accompanied by the Affidavit of Compliance - Iran Economic Sanctions Act in compliance with Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012 (see Section 00 4510). The bid proposal must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement certifying that the Bidder (including its officers, directors and employees) is not an "Iran linked Business" within the meaning of the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The School district will not consider a bid Proposal that does not include this sworn and notarized Disclosure Statement. The successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising there under, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The cost of such bonds shall be included in the Bid. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, money order or bid bond made payable to Clio Area School District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid as a Bid guarantee. The bid security of Bidders under consideration will be returned immediately after execution of the Contract by the Owner. The amount of the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner if the successful Bidder fails to enter into a contract and furnish required bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) days after award of Contract. Withdrawal of any Bid is prohibited for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each Bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have with the Owner, the Architect and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, either in whole or in part, to reject a Bid not accompanied by the required bid security or by other data required by the Bidding Documents or to reject a Bid which is any way incomplete or irregular and to waive informality and irregularity in the bids and in the bidding. The Owner reserves the right to accept Alternates in any order or combination and to determine the low Bidder on the basis of the sum of the base bid and the Alternates accepted. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate with any Bidder without rebidding the project in whole or in part. The Owner reserves the right to award the Contract to whomever it may elect.
