Bid Bond: For all proposals in the amount of $50,000 or more: 1. Security may be a certified check, bank draft irrevocable bank letter or credit or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the project price to secure the District from loss or damage by reason of withdrawal or by failure of the bidder to enter into a contract if the bid is accepted. 2. All bidders must be bondable and shall include in the Proposal the cost of furnishing Labor and Material Payment and Performance Bonds each in the payable amount of 100% of the proposed bidding sum. The bonds shall hold St. Charles Community Schools as the oblige. A surety authorized by the State of Michigan must issue bonds. The surety must be listed on the current Federal Register. Failure to meet these requirements shall be cause for rejection of the bond.
