The Auburn Water District (District) seeks quotes under M.G.L. Ch. 30 Sec. 39M for a contract to replace a 30kw three-phase, natural gas generator and automatic transfer switch, and if required, any associated plumbing and/or electrical fixtures. All communication regarding this IFQ must be made in writing and directed to Greg Woods, Superintendent. Supply and install a new 30KW 120/240V, Single Phase Generator Natural Gas Generator (see attached Section 16232 - Packaged Engine Generator Systems (Natural Gas)). The contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the deadline. The time for award may be extended for up to 45 additional days by mutual agreement between the District and the apparent lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Questions concerning this invitation for bids must be submitted in writing (including email) to: Superintendent Auburn Water District PO Box 187, 75 Church Street, Auburn MA 01501 (gwoods@auburnwater.com) before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2024. Questions must be written and may be hand-delivered, mailed, or e-mailed. Written responses will be mailed or e-mailed to all potential bidders on record as having picked up the IFQ. Workers must be OSHA 10 trained. There is a payment bond required for 5% of the value of the total quote. There are no filed sub-bids for this project. Supply and install a new 30KW 120/240V, Three Phase Generator Natural Gas Generator (see attached Section 16232 - Packaged Engine Generator Systems (Natural Gas)). Supply and install a new 100A automatic transfer switch (see attached Section 16415 Automatic Transfer Switch). Rework and repair all associated power wiring associated with the generator. Factory-assisted startup and load bank testing must be included. All required electrical parts must be included.
