Renovation of a municipal facility in Menifee, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Cherry Hills Fac. Improvements-Phase 1 The project will add capacity to the McCall Blvd. west bound left turn pocket at this location by extending the length of the existing turn pocket. The work consists of the abatement and disposal of Asbestos and containing materials. The contractor will remove all interior finishes as necessary to facilitate the asbestos removal. This includes cabinetry, ceiling tiles and ceiling grid system, plumbing, ducting, etc. The contractor will leave all doors, door frames, and interior walls. The HVAC system in the mezzanine must be protected from damage during abatement. Ceramic flooring throughout the facility will remain. All furniture, counter top, pony wall removal and disposal are included in scope. There is water to the building. The contractor will temporarily disconnect the water to perform demolition. The contractor will remove all toilets, cabinetry, water faucets to facilitate the removal of drywall. LOCATION OF WORK The work to be performed is located at 26800 Cherry Hills Boulevard in Menifee, CA The Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and any subcontractor under such Contractor, shall hereby ensure that minority and women business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids for subcontracts. Further, there shall be no discrimination in employment practices on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical handicap, medical condition, marital status, age, or sex in compliance with Government Code 12990. Each bid must be accompanied a certified or cashier's check payable to the City of Menifee, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds acceptable to the Agency. Contractor is required to disconnect the power and provide spider boxes and lighting for the project. All safe-off of the electrical must follow safe-off protocols (lock out tag-out). The contractor can leave all the electrical wiring and conduit that is not damaged during removal of other components. The contractor is responsible for adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, regardless of the recommendations or the Specification s requirements. The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity(ies), and to take all bids under advisement for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date the bids are publicly opened. All costs incurred by bidders as a result of preparing bids under this Notice Inviting Bids shall be the sole responsibility of each bidder. This Notice Inviting Bids neither creates nor imposes any obligation upon the Agency to enter into a contract. The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity(ies), and to take all bids under advisement for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date the bids are publicly opened. All costs incurred by bidders as a result of preparing bids under this Notice Inviting Bids shall be the sole responsibility of each bidder.
