Cherry Hills Fac. Improvements-Phase 1 The project will add capacity to the McCall Blvd. west bound left turn pocket at this location by extending the length of the existing turn pocket. The work consists of the abatement and disposal of Asbestos and containing materials. The contractor will remove all interior finishes as necessary to facilitate the asbestos removal. This includes cabinetry, ceiling tiles and ceiling grid system, plumbing, ducting, etc. The contractor will leave all doors, door frames, and interior walls. The HVAC system in the mezzanine must be protected from damage during abatement. Ceramic flooring throughout the facility will remain. All furniture, counter top, pony wall removal and disposal are included in scope. There is water to the building. The contractor will temporarily disconnect the water to perform demolition. The contractor will remove all toilets, cabinetry, water faucets to facilitate the removal of drywall. LOCATION OF WORK The work to be performed is located at 26800 Cherry Hills Boulevard in Menifee, CA The Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and any subcontractor under such Contractor, shall hereby ensure that minority and women business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids for subcontracts. The contractor can leave all the electrical wiring and conduit that is not damaged during removal of other components. The contractor is responsible for adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, regardless of the recommendations or the Specification s requirements.
