The Work to be undertaken is generally described as: 2025 Asphalt Overlays in the City of Wetaskiwin. Includes Approximately 16700 Square meter milling and asphalt overlay at 40 Avenue. Approximately 5000 Square meter total reconstruction at 40 Avenue (Provisional). Approximately 180 square meters of Utility trench roadwork restoration at various locations in City. Question Deadline 01/28/2025 at 2:00 PM MT This section specifies requirements for general site clearing including clearing, grubbing, tree and shrub removal and protection, stripping, stockpiling, and disposal. This section specifies requirements for excavation, fill, grading, and compacting for construction of subgrade and base course for pavement structures. This sections specifies requirements for existing asphalt removal of full depth asphalt. This section specifies requirements for landscape grading including subgrade preparation and topsoil placement. This section specifies requirements for providing gravity storm sewer piping and associated appurtenances including, but not limited to, the following: a) Pipe; b) Fittings; c) Jointing materials; and d) Testing. This section specifies requirements for work verifying the stability of subgrade compaction. This procedure shall be performed in the presence of the City. Actual requirements for representation on the project site for the proof rolling operation will be site dependent. This section specifies requirements supplying, placing and compacting imported aggregate into a base or sub-base to the cross section as indicated on the plans or as directed by the city. Scarifying, shaping and compacting existing granular base or sub-base to the cross section as indicated on the plans or as directed by the city. This section specifies requirements for the supply and installation of hot-mix asphalt concrete overlays for rehabilitation of existing pavement. This section specifies requirements for the removal of existing concrete paving including pavement, walk, curb and gutter, ramp, crossing, and other slabs. This section specifies requirements for the production of a hot mixture of asphalt binder and aggregates for paving. This section specifies requirements for the production of Portland cement concrete for curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. This section includes, but is not limited to, the specifications for aggregate, mix design, quality control and assurance, delivery, placement, inspection, and finishing. This section specifies requirements for providing all concrete formwork, falsework, and slipforming required for the installation of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. This section specifies requirements for providing all concrete reinforcement required for the installation of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. This section specifies requirements for the supply and installation of spray-applied epoxy pavement markings on asphalt concrete surfaces. The Contractor shall: 1.1 Furnish all of the materials (except as otherwise specified to be supplied by others) and all of the equipment and labour necessary to perform the Work described in the Contract Documents, all in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the Contract for the project entitled: 2025 Asphalt Overlays prepared by the City of Wetaskiwin and signed in triplicate by both parties. 1.2 Perform, provide, and fulfill all requirements of the Contract. 1.3 Provide all Bonds and Insurance Certificates in accordance with the Contract. 1.4 Commence and perform the Work within the time provided in Article 25.0 of Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders, unless other arrangements have been approved by the City in writing. 1.5 Attain Substantial Performance of the Work by August 07, 2025, subject to any adjustments in schedule as provided for in the Contract Documents 1.6 Warranty the Work as set out in Article 5.7 of Section 00 72 00 - General Conditions, or as otherwise stipulated in Section 00 73 00 - Supplementary Conditions. In signing the Contract Agreement, the Contractor understands the scope of Work to be performed and that the Work, as specified, will be carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall be bound by the Tender Prices submitted by the Contractor in the Tender Form for carrying out of the Work in accordance with Contract Documents. The Contract Documents constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the Work and supersedes all previous communications, representations, warranties and agreements, either written or verbal.
