High hazard embankment dam modifications in Mount Sterling, KY The activities for the Project are divided into the following major categories, which are described in detail in the following sections. . Downstream slope modifications including removal of existing slide masses and addition of a rock buttress on the downstream side of the dam, with associated underlying filter layers. . Installing a siphon system for low-level drawdown functionality. . Lowering the concrete spillway weir to Elevation 818 feet. . Lowering the top of dam to Elevation 828 feet, including the sheet pile wall and embankment fill. . Thickening portions of the spillway sidewalls by adding reinforced concrete to the interior. . Installing grouted riprap within the natural rock-cut spillway channel. Contract Award Date: April 25th, 2025 The Owner intends to start construction in the second quarter of 2025. Based on projects of similar size and scope, we anticipate the construction period to be approximately 5-7 months. Approximate Final Completion Date October 31, 2025 Questions or requests for clarification related to this RFPQ must be received by Engineer via email by 5:00 pm Eastern time on January 31, 2025.
