Site work for a water / sewer project in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction will include 820 LF of 8 and 140 LF of 4 Sanitary Sewer line. In addition to the construction of the above footages of sanitary sewer line, installation of precast manholes are also included requirements of this project. Each bid, in order to be considered valid, must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashiers check in the amount of no less than 5 percent of the base bid. The bidder awarded the contract shall supply a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, both no less than the total value of the bid submitted. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to provide proof of both liability and workers compensation insurance, in addition to naming Mt. Sterling Water and Sewer and the City of Mt. Sterling as an additional insured. This contract shall be completed within 120 days of a Notice to Proceed being issued. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250.00/day will be assessed should this project extend beyond that date. Mt. Sterling reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted.
