The City of Dallas Fire Rescue Department is seeking a qualified vendor who can perform fuel tank polishing services. Services will be performed at 10 separate Fire Rescue Locations. Service Locations: Station 9 2002 Cool Mist Lane Convault AST 1,000 gallon diesel Station 12 7520 Wheatland Rd. Convault AST 1,000 gallon diesel Station 22 1200 Coit Rd. Vaulted AST 1000 gallon diesel Station 34 1234 Carbona Rd Convault AST (split tank 750 gallon/250 gallon) both diesel Station 43 2844 Lombardy Lane Convault AST 1,000 gallon diesel Station 46 331 E. Camp Wisdom Rd. Hughes AST 1000 gallon diesel Station 48 10480 E. Northwest H'way Vaulted AST 1,000 gallon diesel Station 50 841 S. Walton Walker Convault AST 1,000 gallon diesel Station 51 200 S. St. Augustine Rd. Vaulted AST 1,000 gallon diesel Station 53 1407 John West Rd. Vaulted AST 1,000 gallon diesel Description of Fuel Polishing Process: 1. Tanks should have at least 800 gallons of fuel before process begins 2. Tanks to be treated with biocide 48 - 72 hours prior to fuel polishing. 3. Tank sweep process completed on tanks. 4. Fuel should be polished down to 2 Micros, depending on fuel type. 5. Remaining fuel in holding tank will be filtered back to customer's tank, at which point only waste is left in holding tank. 6. All lines will be purged, and filters changed. 7. All non-usable fuel will be removed off-site same day and disposed of in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
