The Board of County Commissioners, Butler County, Ohio, invites the submission of SEALED BIDS for furnishing the labor, materials and equipment for the 2025 Paving of various County and Township roads project. All bids shall be submitted in writing to the Butler County Engineer EITHER: (1) on paper at 1921 Fairgrove Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45011-1965; OR (2) by electronic record through the online bidding service, BidVAULT. An electronic bid must comply with the security procedure adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, a copy of which may be viewed at website. Each bidder is solely responsible for complying with the technical requirements for submitting a bid either on paper or electronically. All bids will be available for public inspection within a reasonable time after being opened by the Butler County Engineer. In accordance with Section 153.54, of the Ohio Revised Code, each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of EITHER (1) a bond for the full amount of the bid issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the state of Ohio as surety, OR (2) a certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Each bid guaranty shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners, Butler County, Ohio. A bond provided as the bid guaranty may be submitted either in paper form bearing the original signatures of the principal and surety, or by electronic record. An electronic bond shall be issued by the surety through either Surety2000 website or Insure Vision website as the insurance document manager selected by the surety. The Board of County Commissioners, Butler County, Ohio, reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contract referenced above involves the construction, repair, or maintenance of public roads, and all bidders must be pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the type of work being performed.
