SECTION II Bridge Structure No. 2593 (C09168) Removal of Bridge Structure No. 2953 and open cut culvert installations including frost taper construction and bituminous paving on Provincial Trunk Highway 5, approximately 0.8km East of Provincial Trunk Highway 10, in the Rural Municipality of Dauphin. SECTION III Bridge Structure 2879 Removal and replacement of existing asphalt surface on Bridge Structure No. 2879 on Provincial Trunk Highway 5, approximately 2.3km East of Provincial Trunk Highway 20, in the Rural Municipality of Lakeshore. Daily Liquidated Damages after this specified Completion Date will be charged to the Contractor at the rate of THREE THOUSAND ($3,000.00) Dollars per calendar day until the Work is completed. In addition to the daily Liquidated Damages, a lump sum Liquidated Damage of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) Dollars will be charged to the Contractor for unplanned carryover if the Work is not completed by OCTOBER 15, 2024. In addition, the Lump Sum Liquidated Damages will be charged to the Contractor on a recurrent annual basis until Substantial Completion. The assessment of the lump sum Liquidated Damage for the Completion of the Work will decrease in direct proportion to the value of the Work completed relative to the actual final total value of all the Work if the Work is incomplete. The Work shall be defined as all work, not including contingency. The Work must be completed by no later than OCTOBER 1, 2025.
