Reference Number 0000286607 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/02/13 04:00:00 PM CST The Provision of Inspection, Maintenance, Testing and Servicing services for Water-Based Fire Suppression Systems The Contractors shall provide services all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to carry out the services related to inspection, maintenance and testing of water-based fire suppression to ensure proper functioning, complaint and applicable codes and regulations, and ready for immediate use in emergency at multiple facilities around Manitoba. The Scope of Work may include but is not limited to the following: 2.1. General Requirements 1. Licensing and Qualifications: - The Supplier and all service personnel must be licensed and approved by the Authority Having Jurisdiction and possess all required qualifications. Technicians must be knowledgeable of Manitoba codes, laws, rules, and ULC, NFPA and CSA standards and requirements pertaining to fire pumps, standpipes and sprinkler systems, fire hose valves, and associated backflow prevention devices within the specified jurisdiction. Technicians must hold a Sprinkler System Installers Licence issued by the Province of Manitoba as required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction. - Technicians must have a minimum of two years' experience in fire pump, standpipe, sprinkler system, hose valves, and backflow prevention device maintenance, testing and service. - Registered apprentices must be accompanied by a licensed technician and under their direct supervision on a project. - Technicians entering any confined space must possess adequate training and certification under the applicable regulations. 2. Codes and Standards: All inspections and testing must comply with the Manitoba Fire Code (MFC), NFPA 25, and other applicable standards, regulations, and bylaws. 3. Identified Issues and Recommendations: - If deficiencies are identified during inspections, the Contractor will submit a separate report outlining corrective actions for the BGM to be considered in future. If the BGM requests, the Contractor will address any issue found during the inspection, up to a pre-approved amount. - Any critical deficiencies must be reported immediately to the BGM. The Initial term of the Master Agreement will be for a period of four (4) years. The term of the Master Agreement may be extended, at Manitoba's option, in consultation with Buying Group Members who have executed a Participating Addendum with Qualified Suppliers, on the same terms and conditions for an additional two (2) terms of one (1) year term each.
