General Contractor's CATEGORY OF CERTIFICATION: SEWAGE AND WATER TREATMENT PLANTS Bid security for all general bidders and sub bidders in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check, payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid, in accordance with the conditions in Section 00 21 13 The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00 72 00 Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
