Local residents are defined as "residents of Sarasota County," but that definition may be expanded to include Manatee and Charlotte Counties if the requisite skill-set is not available in Sarasota County. Resolution No. 2013-127 establishes an aspirational goal for contractor and subcontractors to hire 15% minimum local residents as the new hires for construction and construction related project. Project Identification: Project consists of removal and replacement of the existing clay tile roof and underlayment with new selected roof and underlayment systems as noted. A 5, 10, 15 or 20-year NDL water tight system warranty as determined by owner on the selected system will be required to be provided by the manufacturer, roofing contractor, contractor or combination thereof as further noted within specifications.The Work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: a. Selective Site Protection b. Selective demolition of existing roof system and associated elements c. Review/repair of existing decking d. Miscellaneous Repairs to existing precast panel joints e. New Sheathing underlayment compatible with selected roof system f. New Flashings as noted g. 2-ply underlayment system compatible with roof system. h.
