Horizon Elementary School Fire Alarm System Upgrade Project, 730 N Mitchell St, Boise, ID 83704. The work will consist of: Design, provision, and installation of all equipment necessary for a code compliant non-proprietary voice evacuation system fire alarm system. Scope of Work: Replace main fire alarm control panel with a Silent Knight 6820 EVS addressable fire system with emergency voice evacuation capability. Provide smoke coverage throughout building and beam detection in skylight areas, replace all existing duct detectors with new detectors, provide isolation modules from main structure to portable buildings, provide classroom carbon monoxide and smoke detection along with proper voice notification throughout the facility. New AES radio equipment with network capabilities will be installed and integrated into the new system. Existing security system equipment and service to remain. Construction to commence on or about May 27, 2025 and must be substantially complete by August 1, 2025. All work will be compliant with current NFPA 72 requirements and any Federal, State, local and District requirements. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for receipt of bids unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any informalities, or to accept bid or bids deemed best for the Independent School District of Boise City #1. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check on an Idaho bank, or bid bond with an Idaho state licensed surety company, as surety, in an amount not less than 5% of total bid, made payable to the Independent School District of Boise City. This surety shall be forfeited by the Bidder in the event of failure to sign contract or furnish the necessary 100% Performance Bond and the 100% Payment Bond. Bidders shall be licensed in the State of Idaho, in accordance with provisions of an act known as "Public Works Contractor's State License Law, Title 54, Chapter 19, Idaho Code Amended. The term "Public Works Contractor" includes the general, all sub-contractors, and specialty contractors. The bidder's name must agree with the name on the public works license that is referenced in the bid. Prior to signing the Construction Contract, the successful bidder shall provide names and public works license numbers of all sub-contractors and specialty contractors, including those not listed in the bid form. The successful Contractors shall carry out his employment practices and payment of wages according to the provisions of an act known as "Public Works Title 44, Chapter 10, Section 44-1001 through 44-1006 inclusive, Idaho Code Amended" and shall comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity Provisions as defined in the code of respective Federal Regulations.
