The KCKPS School District is taking bids for their upcoming 2025 Summer Roofing Solicitation for various schools throughout the district. The Owner will receive sealed bids until the bid time and date at the location given below for the following Work: Roof Replacement on miscellaneous buildings as listed in Specification Documents. Bidders must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. LOCATION: Arrowhead Middle, Francis Willard Elementary, and Sumner Academy. Bidders shall begin and complete the work within the Contract Time indicated in the Contract Documents. The Owner (USD #500) reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and reserves the right to final judgment as to awarding the bid. Submit the attached Revised Bid Form for Arrowhead Middle School. 1. Added Unit Cost line item for wet removal and replacement. C. Attached is the RTU Curb detail to cover exposed neoprene flashing on RTU's at Frances Willard and Sumner Academy Arrowhead Middle School 1. Attached are as-built drawings from original construction and sample detail for new scupper head installation and lead flashing. Lead to strip-in new scuppers shall be a minimum 30" x 30". 3. Attached is a REVISED Bid Form for Arrowhead Middle with a unit cost to remove and replace wet areas based on a 12" x 12"x 2" area. a. Wet Area removal and replacement includes infilling 2" deep removed areas with high-density fiberboard insulation, adhered with low rise foam insulation adhesive, to become flush with existing roof membrane. b. Install 3-plies of trilaminate base sheet in cold asphalt adhesive over the new insulation and feathered out onto the existing membrane a minimum of 18". Roof 23 will be removed and replaced, not Roof 4 as listed under specification "Summary" section. The undersigned Bidder, having carefully examined the Bidding and Contract Requirements, Conditions of the Contract, Drawings, Specifications, and all subsequent Addenda's, all as issued by the Owner, having visited the site, and being familiar with all conditions and requirements of the Work, hereby agrees to furnish all material (other than roofing material listed on Attachment A), labor, equipment and services as described in the above documents, without exception, including all scheduled Allowances if any, necessary to complete the specified work. USD #500 shall purchase all roofing material supplied by the primary roofing material manufacturer as listed in Attachment A. The Bidder shall provide Attachment A with their bid, verifying quantities required to complete this project as specified. All materials not listed on Attachment A shall be the responsibility of the Bidder. The cost for the items listed on Attachment A shall not be included in Bidders Base Bid or Alternate price. Failure to provide the mandatory Attachment A with verified quantities will render your bid non-responsive. Interpretation or Correction of Bidding Documents: If the Bidder is in doubt as to the interpretation of any part of the Bidding Documents or finds discrepancies in or omissions from any part of the Contract Documents, he/she must submit a written Request for Interpretation thereof not later than 7 days prior to opening of bids.
