Contacts for technical questions: Steve Haney, Network Manager: 913-279-2304 steve.haney@kckps.org; cc wayne.correll@kckps.org Statement of Work (SOW) for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Procurement Kansas City Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) Scope of Work The awarded vendor will be responsible for furnishing and installing UPS systems that meet the power backup requirements outlined in the attached spreadsheet. Each data room within the district has been assessed for the required battery capacity based on the connected network equipment and wattage requirements. The selected UPS solutions must: o Support the specific network equipment listed in each data room. o Provide a minimum of 30 minutes and up to one hour of runtime during a power outage. o Operate using 110V power sources, as no electrical upgrades are available. o Align with the available rack configurations: o Use rack-mounted UPS units where a 2-post or 4-post rack is available. o Provide floor-standing UPS units where no rack-mount option is possible. o Be compliant with all applicable industry and safety standards. Technical Requirements The following technical specifications must be met: o Battery Type: Lithium-ion o Voltage: 110V AC o Rack Compatibility: Must accommodate specified 2-post and 4-post rack configurations where applicable; otherwise, a floor model must be provided. o Power Output: UPS units must be sized to handle the specific power requirements of the devices listed per site, as detailed in the attached spreadsheet. o Backup Duration: Minimum of 30 minutes, with a preferred capacity of up to one hour. o Scalability & Expandability: Ability to extend the runtime with additional battery modules if needed. o Remote Monitoring Capability: Web-based or SNMP monitoring features preferred. o Warranty & Support: Minimum 3-year warranty on UPS systems and batteries, with vendor support services available. Vendor Responsibilities The awarded vendor will be responsible for: o Conducting site assessments to verify installation requirements. o Delivering, installing, and configuring the UPS units at designated locations. o Testing each installation to ensure functionality and compliance with the required runtime specifications. o Providing documentation for system configuration and user manuals. o Training district IT personnel on system operation and maintenance. o Ensuring compliance with all eRate eligibility requirements. Deliverables o UPS units that meet the specifications outlined above. o Full installation and configuration of all units. o Documentation, including warranty details and user instructions. o Verification and testing reports confirming power backup performance. o Training session for district IT staff. Proposal Requirements Vendors must submit proposals that include: o A detailed breakdown of UPS models and specifications for each site. o Pricing for equipment, installation, and any additional required services. o Estimated project timeline, including delivery and installation schedule. o Warranty and support options. o Compliance with eRate guidelines and documentation of Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN).
