Metals C51 $726,291 2E:Roofing, Sheetmetal & Expansion Joints C39 $197,200 2F: Glazing C17 $247,310 Subcontractors will be required to be properly licensed by the California Contractors State License Board with the appropriate license for their specified scope of work. Layton Construction Company is the construction manager/contractor for this project and will oversee the subcontractor prequalification and selection process for the University of California. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Thornton MRI Expansion and Renovation project consists of an exterior addition of 3,400 SF and a renovation of 760 SF within the existing MRI suite. The Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) formerly the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) is the state jurisdiction that will oversee the project. The timeline for the project includes approximately 10 months of design, 10 months of agency review for permit, and approximately 14 months of construction with an anticipated start of construction in January 2025. Phase 1 - This phase includes the MRI expansion which is an exterior single-story addition to the existing Thornton Pavilion that includes two new MRI suites, MRI equipment rooms, control room, inpatient holding, outpatient waiting room, patient toilet, and support spaces. It should be noted that the existing MRI suite will remain in operation during Phase 1 construction. Phase 2 - This phase includes the renovation of the existing MRI suite and includes the refurbishment of the existing control room, new staff toilet, and shared office space as well as modifications to the fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems to accommodate the proposed renovation. Anticipated Construction Duration - May 2025 to October 2026 You will receive an email confirmation once your completed Prequalification Questionnaire is received. All information requested in the Prequalification Questionnaire must be provided to be considered "responsive" to the requirements of the prequalification. The confidentiality of the information provided will be respected to the extent permitted by law. Every effort will be made to ensure that all subcontractors have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University of California within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each subcontractor may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful subcontractor will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth by the University and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All subcontractors, regardless of tier, listed on a bid for, or engage in the performance of, any scope of work on the project, must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
