DESCRIPTION OF WORK. The Work for the Project includes the following elements: 2950 South Waterline Replacement - Phase 2 Jack and bore crossing of approximately 85 feet with new 8-inch C900 DR-18 fusible PVC water line under Utah Transit Authority Trax Lines. Construction includes abandonment of the existing waterline and piping and appurtenances needed for connections on both sides of the crossing Price Avenue Waterline Approximately 5,815 feet of 12 C900 DR-18 PVC new transmission waterline. Including all appurtenances (valves, fittings, air/vac valves, etc.). This length includes two (2) jack and bore crossings with steel casings in high groundwater. One is approximately 134 feet crossing the 3300 South UDOT roadway and the second is approximately 75 feet crossing the Millcreek channel. The steel casings will include cathodic protection. PURPOSE. The prequalification procedure will select and prequalify General Contractors to bid the construction of the Project.
