Cooks Lake Road Drainage Crossing Repairs All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. The project is generally described as a repair to two existing drainage crossing structures that have experienced severe erosion through the installation and placement of concrete structures, backfilling with stabilization materials and roadway repairs as required in the contract documents. The project scope for the project includes but is not limited to: Traffic control as required, including all barricades, signs and traffic handling Install SWPPP Prepare work area including removing vegetation and other obstructions Coordinate drill locations with owner and engineer Drill void entry holes with approval of the engineer Excavate and grade work areas for concrete walls as shown on the plans Install reinforced concrete walls and rip rap as shown in the plans Install concrete through void entry holes Hydro-Mulch all disturbed areas Final site cleanup Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to Hardin County, Texas; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Bids may be held by the Hardin County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Hardin County, Texas is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual identity, gender identity or national origin. Document notes Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold.
