Reference Number 0000373836 The Town of Gypsum (Town) is soliciting bids from qualified contracting firms to rehabilitate three treatment trainsreferred to herein as filter basins - at the Mosher Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This project aims to address deteriorating coating systems and steel corrosion within the facility, located at 4810 Gypsum Creek Road, Gypsum, Colorado 81637 (see Figure 1). Removal of existing equipment from each filter basin (total of 3), including filter media, flocculation drive and motor assembly, flocculation paddles, tube settlers, tube collection pipes, backwash flapper check valves, filter media wash arms, underdrain headers, and underdrain laterals to expose the welded steel surfaces. Surface preparation to remove all existing coatings. Conducting a magnetic flux leakage (MFL) scan of the floor and shell plates. Performing welding repairs, either through weld deposition or welded patch plates, as necessary. Recoat the interior and exterior surfaces of the filter basins. Completing disinfection procedures.
