Solicitation Id: BOS-02 Route : Var Hwy Limit : Statewide, Various Highways County : Menominee County Assistance is needed to inspect the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge. Lead, perform, and document the Routine and NSTM inspection of the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge, B-16-0038 (Minnesota # 69100), in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS), the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Bridge and Structure Inspection Program Manual (BSIPM), the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Structure Inspection Manual (SIM) and the WisDOT Structure Inspection Field Manual. Inspect the bridge and consolidate all unit data into a single bridge ID in the Highway Structures Information System (HSIS). Use spreadsheets (or other documentation methods) to consolidate data by span, as necessary, for efficient inspection execution. Develop field inspection documents for use on this inspection and future inspections of this bridge. The bridge has previously been inspected as 19 individual units. Conduct all inspections in accordance with applicable standards and governing documents. All inspectors must be approved by WisDOT prior to performing inspections; inspectors may be evaluated during the performance of inspections. WisDOT and/or MnDOT staff may accompany consultant inspection teams. Field work must be initiated in June 2025 and completed prior to July 2nd, 2025. Confined space protocols must be observed for interior inspection of arch tie girder and arch rib.
