Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. The work of constructing the Remlap - Pine Mountain Water Authority Highway 75 Water Line DWSRF Project No. FS010119-03, Contract No. 4 will be let under one Contract, the principal items of work are detailed herein below: Principal Work: 1. 5200 LF 6" HDPE, DR11 Pipe 2. 4 Wet Connection 3. 1-3" PRV and Vault No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 150 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF THE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The Contractor shall note that funds for this project are provided thru DWSRF (Drinking Water State Revolving Funds). All applicable Federal Guidelines must be met. Work to be performed, but not limited to, HDPE Pipe, fittings, valves, hydrants, creek bores, road bores, connections and miscellaneous work Cleanup, seeding and fertilization of excavation not in pavement shall be incidental to the work. D. Hay bales and protection from the silt runoff are considered incidental to the work and are the responsibility of the contractor to meet all requirements to prevent runoff. E. Tie in all businesses. Do Not leave a residence or business without water service overnight Question Deadline 02/05/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
