The 2024 SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM shall include: o Approximately 2000 SF of PCC Sidewalk Replacement o Related items including removals, restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and survey. Contractor shall fully complete the project by September 19, 2025. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment for all materials and labor and protect and save harmless the City, from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operation of the Contractor. Enter into a contract, if this proposal is selected, in the form approved by the Jurisdiction, provide proof of registration with the Iowa Division of Labor in accordance with Chapter 91C of the Iowa Code, and furnish a performance, maintenance, and payment bond; and 2. Commence the work on this project on or before a date to be specified in a written notice to proceed by the Jurisdiction, and to fully complete the project by September 19, 2025; and to pay liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions at the rate of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. The City of Urbandale reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
