In general, the project consists of the replacement of aeration blowers and air piping; chemical feed pumps and piping; diffused air systems within the package plant's aeration tank, aerobic digester, and sludge storage tank; the package plant dome cover; a sludge transfer pump, piping, and valves, and a natural gas standby power generator. The project also includes a new ultraviolet disinfection system and the replacement of the influent screen. The work also includes the replacement of the existing clarifier mechanism, and temporary removal of the bridge, scum collector, and sludge collector, as well as demolition of existing equipment and systems, site improvements, HVAC, instrumentation and controls, electrical, plumbing, and other ancillary work required to accomplish the modifications. Pre-Qualification: Yes The contract awarded under this bid advertisement will be funded in part by financial assistance from the Wisconsin Clean Water Fund Loan Program and will be subject to regulations contained in Wis. Adm. Code, s. NR 166.12, and appropriate state statutes. Bidders agree to abide by Executive Order 11246, as amended, and the provisions for civil rights, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action set forth in the Bidding Documents. This procurement is subject to regulations contained in NR 166.12(4) for solicitation of disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs). We encourage DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, to submit bids. Minimum salaries and fringes to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the prevailing wage rate scales established by the Federal Department of Labor. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and fringes set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applications for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other protected class.
