Renovation of an educational facility in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Any questions regarding the specifications are to be directed to Danielle Thomas, Director of Purchasing & Supplier Diversity no later than February 13, 2025 at 12:00p.m Hazelwood School District is seeking a decorative quartz epoxy floor to be installed over the existing quarry tile. The process should be as follows: 1. Drag a heavy chain over all quarry tile to locate hollow/loose tile. Remove these tiles including the mortar bed down to the host slab. 2. Prepare the existing tile by a combination of diamond grinding and shot blasting to remove the top surface layer of the existing tile. Surface must be free of all contaminants, including glaze, dust, dirt, grease, oil, ect. 3. Pre-fill all areas where loose quarry tiles were removed with epoxy mortar (Series 237 Power Tread) to bring the void level with existing tile. 4. Trowel apply a layer of epoxy mortar (Series 237 Power Tread) thickness must be a minimum of one eighth (1/8) inch over entire surface of floor. 5. During this process the slab condition will need to be evaluated for stability and cracking. It will be necessary to create expansion joints in areas to help prevent future cracking. 6. Apply the Series 222 Deco-Tread decorative quartz system at a minimum of one eighth (1/8) inch thick, color to be determined by Hazelwood School District's Maintenance Director. 7. Apply Intermediate (grout coat): Series 284 Deco-Clear consisting of a twocomponent polyamine cured epoxy. 8. Finish by applying Series 248 Everthane, a three-component aliphatic moisture cured urethane at a minimum of one eighth (1/8) inch. 9. The total thickness of entire epoxy system should be at a minimum of one quarter (1/4) inch, excluding the eighth (1/8) inch epoxy mortar base. 10. A final clean must be conducted by the contractor including cleaning any over application on adjacent surfaces. 11. Contractor must have experience applying epoxy floor systems. Work can not start until June 9, 2025, and must be completed no later than August 1, 2025.
